As I sit down to write this, trying to find the right words to resonate with the reader. This is effecting businesses in New Zealand, from grass roots practice days right up to Olympic qualifying shows. As a business owner in the Equestrian world its certainly been a challenging time, ourselves personally adore our business, put our heart & soul into it. Sponsorship is a big focus for us, we love to see the outcomes it has on the riders, the smiles as you leave the arena, the qualifying score you just gained. But with that comes the necessity that the business needs to work financially, for this to happen its very simple, we need the support from the Equestrian community to make this happen, its simply a cycle of the support given in, is then put forward to support the shows, without this we simply cannot put Sponsorship forward. Please understand me when I say that times are tough for everyone, I’m well aware of that.
If you are making a purchase think local, think who supports me? who supports my friends? who supports the shows that’s pushing my sport forward? Whether a small or large established business that puts forward dollars for class sponsorship or at the other end naming sponsorship, this simply will not happen if these businesses have not got the support from you.
